Great care and concern was shown to us after our dog ingested a fishhook. Dr. Giglio and her team were compassionate, caring, and understanding. She took time to explain the removal process in great detail. Excellent communication was maintained during and after the successful endoscopic extraction, to our great relief. My dog received an endoscopic procedure to remove several gastric foreign bodies. There are only 2 other facilities in Traverse City that have endoscopy.  Neither were able to help us and referred us to Grand Rapids or Lansing for endoscopy. Omnivet was a referral from our primary veterinarian. The Omnivet team was able to get us in within 30 minutes. They were quick, professional, and very polite considering I had so much anxiety about my dog’s situation. Top notch, gold standard care. Our dog is completely back to normal and never needed surgery- that itself is worth every single penny spent. We were lucky the foreign body materials were stuck in only her stomach. We had such a positive experience at omnivet. The front desk staff, doctor and nurses were beyond sweet and welcoming. Our dog Rupert felt very comfortable around everyone and they were quick to take us in on short notice and help us with our emergency problem. I highly recommend this vet. I brought my standard schnauzer in on a Saturday of a holiday weekend and I couldn’t have been treated any better. Everyone on the staff was excellent. They treated me and my baby girl with so much kindness. I can’t recommend this office and staff enough. You would be in great hands if you come here.
