We panicked and called around and ultimately it was suggested we take her in to Omnivet. We called before we left as we are about 45 mins away from the clinic and they took our info and told us to call as we got closer. We arrived at the vet and they were ready to take our pup back immediately as we arrived to treat her. I was scared and emotional but the Omnivet staff was reassuring and compassionate, guiding us to a waiting room and offering coffee, tea, water, etc.. Dr. Giglio and her team touched base with us as she was treated and kept us informed as to what was happening and what our options might be. Ultimately we were able to bring her home, but Dr. Giglio followed up the next morning to make sure everything was going okay. I cannot stress enough how comforting it was knowing that our girl was in good hands with people who truly care. They were patient and answered all our questions (even when we called an hour after getting her home). I would highly recommend this clinic for anyone who has an urgent medical situation for their pet and cannot get in anywhere else. If we run into another scary situation while up at our cabin in the future, Omnivet will be one of our first calls. I appreciate that they have Saturday hours. They explained everything that they were going to do with my cat and then sent me home with very clear directions. Then, later that evening, I received an email with detailed office visit notes. They also shared the notes with my regular vet and then followed up with me the next day via text. With not many places open on a Saturday I googled and found Omnivet. I gave them a call and with a quick response, no animated press this for that business. I talked with the receptionist and got an appt as early as I could make it. I drove an hour n half and was not disappointed. This place is amazing every lady I personally interacted with was kind and welcoming. I do have a pit bull which can be intimidating to some, all the staff were so loving to my pup and not afraid which is important. I highly recommend this place for your pet emergency. Outstanding experience visiting Omnivet! Although I am a temporary summer resident, they were able to see my dog on short notice. They even obtained my dog's medical records from the vet hospital in Cincinnati where my dog had recently undergone surgery. The staff was ideal. the Vet was great and we were able to go home with confidence I could take care of his ear infection easily after they showed me what to do.
